This contract role is based in the vibrant Kansas City, MO area, offering a challenging yet supportive setting to leverage your nursing skills and expertise. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active RN license - Minimum of 1 year PCU nursing experience - Experience with high-acuity patients, including drip infusions - Familiarity with arterial lines and non-invasive respiratory support such as BiPAP and Airvo - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS preferred - Ability and willingness to float to lower acuity units as needed Schedule / Hours: - 12-hour night shifts, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM - Every other weekend commitment required - Work major holidays, with schedule accommodations available Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients in a progressive care setting - Monitor complex patient conditions and manage specialized equipment - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes - Demonstrate flexibility by floating to different units, maintaining high standards of care - Adhere to facility policies including nicotine-free regulations Location Insight:Kansas City, MO, is a dynamic city known for its rich cultural heritage, renowned barbecue, and thriving arts scene.
