The RN works directly with pediatric patients with psychiatric problems conditions, in addition to supporting the staff who provide direct patient care for pediatric patients with psychiatric conditions. The role is aimed at early intervention and provision of care for children with mental health conditions and includes interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN ensures all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, staff and patient safety and satisfaction. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources. /n/nResponsibilities:/n - Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate plan of care for the critically ill, and/or patient experiencing a psychiatric emergency, that promotes optimal patient outcomes. - Meets the educational and informational needs of the patient and family and advocates for their needs. - Maintains an environment that is safe, comfortable, efficient, and family centered. - Utilizes current research and evidence for practice to expand personal professional knowledge, enhance role performance, and improve nursing care quality. /n/nQualifications:/n - Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and 1-2 years experience 1-2 years of experience preferred or - Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. The pay range for this job begins at $33.43/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. *This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus! /n/nRemote Work/Work from Home:/n This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
