Enterprise Architect (Job Number:440211)Description: JOB DESCRIPTION:Seeking a creative, outgoing, and detailed Enterprise Architect to translate a Federal Civilian government agency's business strategy into concrete solutions, and design and execute an IT systems architecture blueprint to support that strategy. In this role, the Enterprise Architect will collaborate with Business Analysts and customer stakeholders to evaluate and map existing IT processes and systems, design new and improved, efficient business processes, and define the target-state IT infrastructure to support those new processes.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Create system information requirements in the development of enterprise-wide information systems- Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements.- Prepare for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces- Confirm the common operating environment is compliant with enterprise architecture and applicable reference models- Analyze analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action as needed- Provide enterprise architecture expertise to translate an enterprise's strategy into a future enterprise architecture and a transition plan (i.e. roadmap) to achieve that future state- Use multi-disciplinary techniques, for example: business process decomposition and redesign, information engineering, organizational redesign, change management, IT strategy and architecture, and performance measurement, to assist in enterprise business transformation and EA implementation- Interact at a variety of points within the customer's governance process to assist in implementation of the transition plan, to include organizational strategy development, capital planning and investment control, portfolio and project management, systems development, and operations- Design, develop, and maintain current and future views and data describing the enterprise architecture- Research and advise on the selection of technologies to include within the enterprise architecture- Provide analyses of potential changes to the EA- Conduct reviews and analyses of architectures to ensure compliance with EA policy- Provide oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures to ensure EA policy compliance or to improve the EA- Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter expert and other architects to reflect reengineered business processes into the EA- Define, develop, and provide expertise and guidance on EA processes, policies, roles and responsibilitiesQualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or universityREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:- 9 years or more, with a Bachelor's degree- 7 years or more, with a Master's degree- 4 years or more, with a PhD degreeREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Ability to pass a government National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) background investigation for public trust positions- Willingness to travel if/when neededPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience with Enterprise Architecture methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF--, FEAC, or DoDAF- Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) software such as Pega, MEGA and/or Troux.SAIC Overview:SAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.
