As a diesel tech, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our fleet of 5,000 trucks and trailers on the road by performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs. We believe in a healthy work-life balance, so you can grow both in your career and in your personal life.*Essential Duties and Requirements:*Essential duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance like changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting batteries, testing lights, and lubricating equipment. Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships, following instructions, and maintaining regular attendance are also required. The role demands knowledge of automotive or diesel mechanics, electrical and diagnostic skills, and proficiency with computers and software. A valid driver's license, one to two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, personal tools, and safety shoes (steel or composite toe) are necessary.
