OverviewStryten Manufacturing is recruiting for a Facilities
Maintenance Technician to join our location in Kansas City, Kansas.
You will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to
install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production, facility,
waste water treatment, and acid farm equipment according to safety,
predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to
support the achievement of the site's business goals and
objectives.ResponsibilitiesThe requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Maintain and work individually with wastewater treatment
systems, acid farm, cooling towers, compressors, bag houses, air
handling equipment, facility equipment, electrical powered
machinery, computers, and perform preventive maintenance on
machines
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of said equipment during
production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of facility
equipment during machine/equipment service
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on plant facilities
machines and equipment
- Perform maintenance skills including, but not limited to,
mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and
repair of facility equipment
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry
functions
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain
machines and equipment relevant to plant facilities
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those
and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make
adjustments
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform
required maintenance and service
- Aid in the design of equipment - design and implement system
improvements
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and
material handling equipment in performing duties
- Follow quality control specifications and maintain accurate
process records
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly
work areas.
- Participate in training and development programs including all
areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those
dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous
waste.
- Position requires handling scrap materials and disposable
protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal
as a hazardous waste.
- Performs what ever other responsibilities and duties assigned
by supervisor or manager.
- Ability to report to the plant on off shift and respond to
facilities equipment emergencies
- Aid in the design of equipment - design and implement system
improvements
- Comply with current Environmental System Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft
apprenticeship preferred
- AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance
a plus; 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic,
pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC
experience and HVAC.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design programs a plus.
- Ability to Create, Draw and Read Electrical and Plumbing
prints.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
- General PLC and HMI programming capabilities a plus.#CBEEO
