Established in 1944, MRIGlobal is headquartered in Kansas City, MO, working in several states including Virginia and Maryland.Vet TechnicianBasic FunctionJob duties will include, but are not limited to animal husbandry, performing technical activities as directed by the study protocol, assisting with ensuring that equipment and supplies necessary to conduct these studies are available, and working in a team environment to conduct studies in conventional and containment laboratories. Specific tasks assigned typically depend upon the needs of the Division and the training and experience of the individual.Nature and ScopeThe technician level staff member reports administratively to a section manager or higher technical level staff member. This staff member may also report to a project manager or group leader. Staff members at the technician are expected to conduct work in their areas of training and experience under direction from supervisors or by following established protocols. Tasks at the technician level may vary widely.Essential Functions1. Conducts assigned work required for the project according to instructions or protocols and maximizes billable project work, while alerting supervisor of potential overload.2. Plans and manages work execution and associated data, including preparation of supplies and equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies, recording experimental data, and performing calculations. Communicates results and issues to the appropriate managers.3. Works with supervisor to schedule and receive all necessary training to perform duties.4.
