Job Description:
Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company,
specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines
and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul
services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the
Kansas City International Airport Area. We are looking for a
motivated, high-energy team member to join our Facilities
Maintenance team. What you should know about the day-to-day: Jet
Midwest occupies the former TWA Overhaul Base facility just south
of the Kansas City International Airport. The facility is leased
from Kansas City, MO and we have responsibility for facilities
management within the rental footprint, which includes the interior
of the building excepting utility mains feeding the buildings. This
includes the interior building systems such as the physical
structure, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, and finishes, as
well as the parking lot and some landscaping. The maintenance of
our facility presents unique challenges due to its age and history,
size, situation, and current utilization as well as the resources
available to Jet Midwest. The successful candidate will be
comfortable with utilizing creativity to prioritize projects and
expenditures as well as maintaining an outstanding relationship
with the City, tenants, and sub-tenants to evaluate and prioritize
projects that will require additional support and
resources.Additionally, Jet Midwest owns the majority of our
equipment and tooling, which places responsibility for maintenance,
repair, and replacement within the purview of the facilities
department.You will need to take ownership of daily tasksInteract
with internal customers regularly, ensure they receive top-notch
support and assistance with maintenance tasks, as assignedPerform
routine and non-routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility
and equipment are at a high level of operational readiness, safety,
and comfortExpert in electrical systems diagnostic and repair on
vehicles, equipment, and machineryExpert in facility electrical
systems, installation, and troubleshooting of 120/240/277-volt
circuits. Distribution system knowledge (preferred) up to 600 volts
3 phase operationGenerator repair, aviation external power circuits
(400 Hz generators)Ability to read electrical schematicsRepair of
overhead doors/ aviation hangar doorsExperience with aviation GSE
equipment (GPU, HPU, TUG)Operation of forklifts, boom lifts, and
scissor lifts requiredExperience using digital work order systems
(CMMS) data systems (Preferred)Work from ladders, scaffolds, and
roofsAbility to lift 50lbsSome after-hours support on evenings and
weekends will be required Other duties as assignedYou'll be
