We're seeking a seasoned Semi-Truck Inspector to ensure our fleet remains in peak condition.This is a remote position with 80%+ travel expected. Occasional visits to our Kansas City, MO, or Jackson, GA, offices may be required. Some travel plans may change with as little as 1 day's notice.Key Distinction:This position's primary responsibility is inspecting Class 8 semi-trucks. However, additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support operational requirements.Why OTR Leasing is the Road to Success:Rewarding Compensation: Competitive pay, plus a 401K with company contributions.Comprehensive Benefits: Full health and dental coverage.Work-Life Harmony: Generous paid time off.Empowering Culture: A dynamic work environment supported by dedicated management.As a Semi-Truck Inspector, You Will:Perform meticulous pre-purchase inspections, evaluating truck condition, performance, and safety.Scrutinize maintenance records and DOT reports with a keen eye.Identify and classify various leaks, utilizing diagnostic tools effectively.Generate detailed inspection reports with notes, photos, and videos.Apply analytical skills to anticipate potential mechanical issues.Conduct cost-benefit analyses for truck acquisitions and repairs.Foster strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.Semi-Truck Inspector Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of Class 8 truck inspection OR DOT inspection experience OR 4 years of verifiable mechanical experience enabling thorough vehicle inspections.Experience with diagnostic equipment is required; JPRO-specific is preferred.Must demonstrate inspection proficiency during the interview process; training will be provided on our specific trade terms only.A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.Proficiency with telematics devices and DOT regulations for heavy-duty trucks.The physical capability to thoroughly inspect trucks, including climbing and maneuvering around and under the vehicle.Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills.The willingness to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice.Join the OTR Leasing journey.
