Job Position: Maintenance TechLocation: Kansas City, MO 64120Pay Rate: Up to $25/HR (Based on Experience) Shift: Monday - Friday Morning Shift (6am - 2pm) with possible eveningsDescription:We are in search of an onsite Maintenance Mechanic with fundamental knowledge in general maintenance, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and plumbing systems. The selected candidate will work autonomously and collaboratively, adhering to all company safety protocols (including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and repair various manufacturing/assembly equipment.
• Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.
• Utilize measuring instruments such as multimeters, micrometers, and calipers.
• Respond promptly to supervisors or operators to repair equipment as necessary.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the facility (e.g., stationary tools, carts, conveyor systems, air conditioning units).
• Execute startup and shutdown procedures as needed.
• Operate with PLC and frequency drive systems using electrical troubleshooting expertise.
• Partner with team members to address quality issues, train other maintenance technicians, and engage in continuous improvement projects.
• Inform supervisors of any abnormal conditions that may lead to downtime.
• Coordinate with management and other departments on maintenance concerns (Production, Offices, Warehouse, Loading Docks).
• Enhance or repair utilities, machinery, and office equipment.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the manager.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to read volt/amp meters.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Understanding of electrical voltages (120, 240, 480 single and three-phase).
  • Proficiency with various hand and power tools.
  • Capability to repair/replace plumbing components (e.g., faucets, toilets, valves, pressure/drain lines).
  • Capability to repair/replace electrical components (e.g., outlets, switches, lighting, breakers, motors).
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends.Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance.
    • Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machine operations.
    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred.
    • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
    • Experience diagnosing and performing most repairs independently.
    • Familiarity with Marel cutting machinery and Multi-vac packaging machinery is advantageous.
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.Physical Requirements:
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
      • Ability to climb roof access ladders.
