We are hiring a Systems Security Engineer . This position is a
System Engineer with an emphasis on security. Primarily responsible
for the execution of team patch management processes, team
vulnerability remediation efforts, environmental hardening
(CIS/NIST), security application support, security audits, and
certificate management. Also responsible for planning and
development of long-range hardware and operating system strategy;
business continuity procedures; disaster exercises; and information
lifecycle management for data storage from creation through
destruction. This includes on premise and AWS & Azure cloud
environments. Secondary responsibilities include designing and
coordinating server systems, storage, and data center environments
including establishing standards, supervising and control
procedures, as well as storage and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
Configures, coordinates, and supports the server hardware and
Windows server operating system for enterprise applications,
including terminal server installations.
Performs the primary server administration duties for the
Association's financial, human resource, and other assigned Windows
Server application systems. Works closely with the application
development staff for implementations, improvements, operations and
support of these systems.
Participates in day-to-day data center & cloud operations,
technical guidance, and support issue resolutions, including duty
pager support throughout the workday, evenings, and weekends; in
accordance with published Service Level Agreements
Coordinates closely with other staff in the Infrastructure and
Applications Department to deliver a secure, reliable
infrastructure environment. Primary support for team vulnerability
remediation support.
Provides planning and support for business continuity and disaster
exercises. Responsible for recovering from system outages and/or
disasters.
Responsible for shared infrastructure capacity planning including
but not limited to Storage, SAN and VMware technologies.
Actively manages and coordinates programs, processes, and
procedures related to anti-virus protection and other activities
related to the protection of Windows application servers from
intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
Evaluates, recommends, coordinates testing for, and implements
Windows Server, storage and Vmware systems patches that should be
deployed to applications servers
Crafts technical environment and solutions for business partners
long range planning
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of relevant work experience
Experience in providing IT support for multiple remote sites
(including AWS & Azure) with proven customer service
accomplishments
Experience in Windows server administration, data center
management, patch assessment, and implementation of systems
Experience in configuring and supporting the use of an industry
standard monitoring & application systems (i.e. - Active Directory,
ADFS, Direct Access, Semperis, Commvault, Varonis, Solarwinds)
application in a distributed active directory environment
Experience in accessing analyzing, benchmarking and reporting on
systems management
Experience in structured project management
Storage Area Network planning and management (EMC preferred)
Unix server configuration, administration and support
Virtual server management (VMware)
Backup Storage & Storage administration and management (EMC & Azure
preferred)
Preferred Experience:
Experience with general server infrastructure management
MCITP - Microsoft Certified IT Professional or equivalent
experience
