Description The Department of Biomedical Sciences at UMKC's School
of Medicine wants to recruit an outstanding candidate for a
Research Assistant position to coordinate the central laboratory
facilities and provide technical assistance with the ongoing
research within the department. The duties of the research
assistant will be to:Provide assistance to Central laboratory,
monitoring equipment, chemical inventory, dry ice, distilled water,
laboratory clearance, biohazard waste disposal, laboratory practice
training, microscopy laboratory training.Perform biannual
laboratory inspections.Provide research assistance to faculty at
School of Medicine.Engage in training students in molecular and
biochemical techniques, cell culture and research methodology and
approaches.Assist in annual research events, such as poster
sessions, conferences, seminar series.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years basic science research
experience. Full Time/Part Time Full-Time, benefit eligible,
unranked/non-tenure track academic position. Initial contract is 12
months beginning Fall 2022. Application Instructions To be
