This position will be onsite, supporting the Marine Corp Facilities Service Branch in Kansas City, MO.***Applicants must posses a current and active DoD security clearance in order to apply.Job DescriptionThe Mid-level Middleware Engineer should be able to design documentation, build, automate with limited oversight, support, manage, and optimize new and existing applications and associated software. Soft skills as well as technical skills are critical in the position of a Mid-level Middleware Engineer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The Mid-level Middleware Engineer will work closely with other technology teams troubleshooting customer issues.ResponsibilitiesThe Mid-level Middleware Engineer will be responsible for the design documentation, build, automation with limited oversight, support, management, and optimization of Middleware applications, such as Web Server software (IIS, Apache) and Application Server software (Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Citrix XenApp), on Windows Servers.Websites/applications may be developed in house, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), or Government off-the-shelf (GOTS). Candidate must be able to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging technologies and technical strategy, and advises the leadership where improvements are deemed necessary.QualificationsProficient with a minimum of 4 years of experience of Mid-level understanding of Middleware applications and Windows Server 2016 in general.Proficient with a minimum of 4 years of experience of hands-on experience with application implementation process to include base OS functionality, OS build, web hosting services, and application performance understandingProficient hands on work experience with Web Server software (IIS, Apache) and Application Server software (Citrix Suite, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Citrix XenApp).Experience with scripting/programming in language such as, but not limited to: Bash, Batch, PowerShell, .NET, Java, C++, etc.Proficient with a minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing security, compliance and auditing of Middleware applications running on Windows Servers 2016.Web Server software: IIS (preferred), Apache.Application Server software: IBM WebSphere (preferred), Oracle WebLogic, Citrix XenApp.Strong customer facing skills and ability to support and drive troubleshooting with multiple vendors and internal teams.Experience creating technical and process documentation.Familiarity with Datacenter operations / Worked in a datacenter environmentDifferent application environmentsWeb application deploymentsAdditional Preferred QualificationsStrong troubleshooting skillsAbility to think logicallyAbility to work with minimal supervisionHistory of handling moderately complex projects through to completionStrong technical/process documentation skillsStrong team and communication skillsBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceJob Type: Full time/ExemptSecurity clearance: Secret (Required)The health and safety of our employees and their families is a top priority.
