Job Description:

BASF is searching for a *Collision Refinish Technical Service Rep.*, this individual will maintain high quality customer service standards at some of the largest Body Shop organizations in the market through process development, correct application of products through teaching and hands on demonstrations and help the sales team convert new business.

You will work closely with the sales team to make sure our distribution partners are properly trained and can effectively sell and position our product offerings against competitive product lines. You will work with the Business Development and Sales team to ensure identified Body Shop KPI's are achieved.

In addition, be responsible for the technical success of BASF's automotive refinish products, in the *Kansas City, MO, Wichita, KS, Omaha, NE, and Des Moines, IA* markets.

* Understanding Body Shop Workflow, you will make process improvement recommendations that can be highly valuable to end users.
* Communicate effectively will help end be more proficient in product application, selling and implementing new products and generating a positive experience with BASF branded products.
* Conduct root cause analysis, trouble-shooting technical applications (paint/coating) and color match issues.
* Understanding of competitive products and tools will be a valued asset when participating in the technical aspect of the sales process.


* Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
* 10+ years of Automotive Collision Refinish industry experience and customer relations.
* Familiar with the Collision Repair Process.
* Prior body shop experience or working with body shop customers.
* Technical Support on paint/coating products. (paint/application/environment issues)
* Leveraging your professional sales experience, you will retain business and drive sales growth in the *Kansas, Missouri, and NE Iowa Area.*
* Demonstrating your strong interpersonal skills, you will increase sales growth by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closing business.
* Your robust relationship-building and value-based selling skills will be a valued asset as you manage existing relationships and develop new ones.
* Establish trust and value in our ever-changing industry with our customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

* High school or equivalent (Required)

* Strong Communication Skills: 5 years (Preferred)

* Automotive Paint: 10 years (Preferred)
* Automotive Coatings (top, clear, primer, sealer, etc.): 10 years (Preferred)
* Refinish Technical Support (resolving paint/coating issues): 10 years (Preferred)

* Driver's License in good standing (Required)

Willingness to travel:
* 50% (Preferred)
