Description:Provide vessel capacity and sailing options to Export Specialists for the customer sales proforma invoice.Ensure all ocean and motor carrier rates are contracted with carriers prior to bookings.Schedule bookings with transportation providers that meet customer requested delivery dates and transit times while minimizing transportation costs.Document transportation booking details in SAP for internal visibility.Coordinate loading appointments with shipping facilities and monitor on-time pick ups.Enter freight accruals in SAP and audit invoices for accurate transportation billing and payment.Confirm ocean export shipments sail (complete) from US ports.Work closely with the Export Specialists to mitigate any ocean carrier documentation delays (delays that would create a bottleneck for the on-time and successful completion of the complete customer export documentation.Assist with managing carrier contracts and supplier relationships.Skills:Ocean freight, International logistics, Ocean export, Ocean import, Food industry, Microsoft office, Sap, Transportation management systemTop Skills Details:Ocean Logistics experience - most importantExcel and analytics experience, SAPGo getter, takes initiativeRequired Minimum Qualifications:Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Business or equivalent experience (4+ years) in related field required2-4 years experience in international logisticsExperience with ocean or international logistics required.Needs to have strong technical aptitude and intermediate level Excel skills - will be manipulating reports from Power BI in excel - familiarity with pivot tables and v look ups required.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in Dairy or Food Industry preferredAdvanced computer skills using Microsoft OfficeSAP, Business Objects, Transportation Management Systems experience is preferredNecessary Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust possess a strong working knowledge and experience with import and export regulationsStrong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbalSuperior organization skillsHunger to learn and problem solveAbility to communicate effectively across all levels of the businessSAP experience strongly preferred.Experience within food industry not required, but would be helpful.
