Our office is conveniently and centrally headquartered in Kansas

equipped to work remotely during the ongoing pandemic.
We are currently exploring flexible hybrid arrangements to begin
sometime in 2022.
We are looking for a dynamic and exceptional Paralegal/Executive
Assistant to join our small team. This position entails interacting
with senior management and ownership to obtain all necessary
regulatory approvals for the operation of a property and casualty
company. You will work with state insurance agencies to solve
problems on the spot and make sure inquiries are dealt with swiftly
and completely. This role will perform substantive, valuable work,
and is critical to our mission.

What is the main goal of this role?
The main role is to get as many certificates of authority as
possible by way of expansion applications. Target is 20 state
approvals in first year and 20 the following year. This will
involve researching and understanding all requirements for each
state, establishing an organizational structure to track state
approvals, and communicate with state insurance departments on a
What is the role and responsibilities?
Interact with internal and external clients and other transaction
participants in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner
primarily by phone or email to solve complex problems quickly,
independently, and to a high standard.
Process state regulatory filings and work in various insurance
Prepare initial drafts of legal documents for attorney review.
Organize, review, revise and assemble all documents necessary to
complete multiple state filing transactions in a timely manner.
Conduct research, speak with clients, coordinate internal
resources, and review various documentation to obtain necessary
Assemble documents for signature and coordinate execution of
Maintain and monitor files in an organized fashion in firm's
document management system.
What are the qualifications?
Direct experience working with legal documents and regulatory
High attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Bachelor's Degree in paralegal studies/related field or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Possess superior verbal and written communication skills.
Communicate concisely, diplomatically, and effectively.
Proficient at independently learning new systems and are savvy
using online resources.
Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in MS Office software
applications: Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook.
Professional and collaborative attitude with a demonstrated ability

insurance designations, and/or having worked with state insurance
