**What You'll Do:** - Set input, understanding & can execute/manage a technology strategy; having the ability to set challenging yet attainable goals for associates and managers, and performance management; requesting, managing & monitoring work efforts - Present technology topics commensurate with the audience - Lead and drive complex solution recommendations using gap analyses, alternative analyses, and total cost of ownership analyses across multiple options - Maintain strong relationships with business partners; Serve as the technology expert, participate in business strategy for business to which you are aligned; Articulate business value of technology solutions to business partners - Focus on associate and manager management & development; experience with competency-based management program; coaching, listening & providing timely feedback to your associates; experience with interviewing candidates, making hiring decisions, performance management, and a working knowledge of complex OE/Employee Labor topics - Perform budgetary management - understands lights-on, non-discretionary & discretionary work - Lead the budget planning process for area of support, understand complex budgetary concepts including amortization, depreciation and SOP98 usage, responsible for setting, monitoring, and approval of related expenses - Understand risk & impact to the business, ability to recommend risk mitigation strategies and options for the business to consider - Understand current processes, promote adherence, and provide recommendations for process improvements and formalizes new process as required - Thrive with ambiguity, help to clarify and set direction - Ensure compliance to corporate policy, technology policy, regulatory guidance and regulations - Perform contractual vendor management including SLA management, tracking, and complex vendor negotiations including contract review - Actively manage load & resource planning - Oversee multiple concurrent work streams, manage projects & work efforts to a System Delivery Life-Cycle process (SDLC) and Project Management Life-Cycle - Other duties as assigned **In this Role, You will Need:** - Experience with and strong understanding of retail consumer channels including bank branches, Contact/Call Centers, ATM management, IVR, on-line banking, mobile banking, internet delivery and intranet delivery. - Experience with customer experience digital delivery including a `digital first? perspective. - Experience with agile development and delivery. - Experience with leveraging expertise of solution and/or enterprise architects to ensure integrated solutions that extend the corporate architect as well as deliver reusable solutions in the form of SOA services and APIs. - Experience with core banking processing including deposits, customer CIS, and items processing. - Demonstrated ability to build strong, highly functioning teams through talent management - Exceptional communication skills; able to communicate effectively with associates, peers, business partners, bank customers, senior bank leadership, executive bank leadership, regulators, and vendors - Demonstrated executive presence - Demonstrates strong skills in understanding SDLC, project management life-cycle and analytical/problem solving skills - Demonstrates high proficiency in managing multi-year, multi-phase programs - Demonstrates advanced ability on estimating total project time and cost, total cost of ownership, and resource allocation management - Understanding of various infrastructure technologies as well as packaged and custom built software project installations - Demonstrates advanced ability in delivering executive presentations, guiding management through a series of decision points ultimately arriving a concise set of recommendations - Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements - Strong vendor management skills **Culture of Diversity and Inclusion:** We are committed to building a strong UMB by hiring talented, high-performing associates with diverse backgrounds.
