the right fit for you.Job Description:Role OverviewThe Lead RPA
Engineer within the Global Investment Distribution Services (GIDS)
division of SS&C plays a central role in converting a business
problem into an automation-based solution that delivers value to
the organization in the form of efficiency and quality improvement.
They are skilled in the use of multiple technologies and have
mastered the use of Robotic Process Automation as a way to solve
processes that are often determined to not be "a fit for
traditional automation."As a member of the GIDS Automation team,
the Lead RPA Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders,
solution analysts, and engineers from other disciplines to design
solutions, create requirements, and develop enterprise grade RPA
based solutions. Often they will lead a scrum team of fellow
engineers towards common goals and driving outcomes for their team
and the business.The individual will be versed in applying various
design patterns and models to meet the need of the problem in front
of them. They are comfortable working individually or within a team
setting as either a peer or a leader. They are adept at knowing
when to apply RPA, and when (and how) to integrate another
technology into the solution.The engineer must display proven
experience delivering solutions that incorporate the use of:Tight
integration with a Business Process Modeling (BPM) ecosystemSurface
AutomationIntelligent Document Processing (OCR, ICR, and
ML)Human-In-the-Loop (HIL)API's, ODBC/JDBC queries, JSON/XML/CSV
and other flat file inputsETL (Extract, Transform, Load) model
based solutionsThe creation and use of long running, persistent
automationsRules engines, logic based flows, and RegEx commands to
evaluate workflowsIn addition to their primary role of building new
solutions, the engineer also provides support and maintenance for
automations under the Product team's umbrella. They will also play
a key role in the build out, testing, and long-term roadmap of the
RPA and broader automation platform, infrastructure, and capability
stack.ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders, solution
analysts, and relevant technology resources to understand business
requirements and transform them into effective, resilient
automations.Create and leverage detailed business requirements,
technical documentation, and SDLC components (e.g. PDD, SDD, etc.)
in order to efficiently build documented solutionsIndividually or
as a member of a development centered scrum team design, code,
test, and implement RPA based automationsIdentify the most
efficient manner in which to deliver a solution to the business
stakeholder while still meeting their requirements.Support existing
processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured
change control processServe as the Lead Developer in a scrum team
of multiple developers working towards the same delivery
goal.Provide mentorship to junior developers on BluePrism and
UiPath platforms in addition to instilling best practices and
standards.Provide accurate estimates and communicate project
develop progressIdentify new methods and capabilities through
active prototyping, R&D, and continuous learning.Maintenance
and enhancement of existing RPA processesComplete Full Unit testing
as well as troubleshooting UAT / volume testingLead and coordinate
code reviews to ensure necessary standards have been adhered to and
feedback is acted uponWhat are we looking for?We are searching for
a team player who can operate within a fast paced, agile
environment that has the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
and initiatives in order to build and deliver innovative solutions.
They will be able to easily familiarize themselves with the
business problems they encounter and leverage their expertise in
the RPA space to create solutions that solve the business
problem(s) at hand.This individual must be able to naturally
communicate with both the business and technology organizations.
They will also be able to code based solely on well written
business requirements provided to them by Solution Analysts within
the Product Team.We highly value individuals who are passionate
about learning and continuously bringing new ideas to the table in
a collaborative way, while also challenging previously conceived
approaches. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver;
applying logical and analytical reasoning in their development
practice.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or
equivalent + min 5 years of work experience in developing RPA based
solutions.Preferential consideration given to candidates who also
have experience with BPMn, OCR, SQL, APIs, HTML, JAVA, .Net, Java,
C#, and other technical disciplines.5+ years of relevant work
experience directly applying automation to business
solutions.Preference given to experience applying solutions within
the US Financial Services IndustryProven and demonstrable
experience writing simple to complex code in RPA platforms such as
Blue Prism, UI Path, Automation Anywhere, WorkFusion,
etc.Preferential consideration for candidates holding active
BluePrism 'Developer', UI Path 'RPA Developer', or higher
certifications.Effective communication skills, both written and
oral, with a wide range of audiences.Ability to anticipate,
identify and manages risksExperience working in agile development
frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, etc.) using agile project management
software such as JIRA.Strategic mindset, with a pragmatic lens and
