Job Description:

The Stowers Institute for Medical Research has two Systems Administrator openings to assist the IT Operations team with managing and maintaining its systems.

The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and managing systems in its Linux Environment. This position will perform standard Linux System Administration duties as required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems consisting of Linux based applications, virtual machines, and HPC/GPU cluster-based systems. The Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a hybrid infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of platform services, including, but not limited to: Windows Server, Azure/M365, (Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange, DNS, VMware, and Intune). This is a hands-on technical position, and a deep knowledge of cloud and on-prem services infrastructure and platforms is crucial.
