Outstanding software development is a keystone to our success and we are on the lookout for a dedicated Software Engineer I-II to join the DCI family. This position is ideal for a recent graduate who is wanting to gain an entry-level position at a reputable software development company to help attain national compliance with federal standards as it relates to public safety and data transfer.

As a Software Engineer I-II in this position, you will:

  • Work with others to learn the ins and outs of our software
  • Communicate with business/systems analysts and other developers to understand system requirements
  • Create forms and menus for web applications
  • Configure, update, and create style sheets using XML
  • Get involved on the ground level for an opportunity to enhance processes by working through solutions
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting; summarizing complex technical issues in a way that non-subject matter experts can understand
  • Responsibly manage your time and personal schedule to achieve success

    Requirements

    Our ideal candidate will have/be:
    • A bachelor's degree in a technology field such as Computer Science or Information Technology
    • Experience or interest in learning an object-oriented language like Java
    • A highly organized individual who gains a strong sense of accomplishment from completing tasks off their list

      • Personal passion for, or interest in, supporting public safety and law enforcement agencies
