Some 18,000 financial services and healthcare organizations, from the world's largest institutions to local firms, manage and account for their investments using SS&C's products and services.Position OverviewSS&C Asset Management Solutions is looking for an experienced software developer and analytical thinker that can develop, implement and monitor fraud prevention and detection software/data controls and deliver fraud analytics. As a key member of the Fraud development and operations team, you will work across a wide variety channels and will be integral in the interaction between Compliance & Fraud Management, Software Development, and other central teams. This is an opportunity to play a critical role on a new team by helping to define and implement new processes and procedures, developing new software, and managing fraud cases in real-time support a large client base. The ideal candidate will have both the analytical acumen and technical proficiency to bring complex fraud prevention and detection cases management to life. Successful candidates will be able to evaluate and identify emerging technologies and trends in fraud, adapt to new approaches as needed, develop and deploy comprehensive fraud prevention strategies, and identify fraud control improvements continuously.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting development, as well as on-going compliance and monitoring fraud operational program.
    • Support in the design and implementation and maintenance of fraud prevention and detection tools
    • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring fraud management program function that includes responsibility for identification, review and remediation of fraud cases as directed
    • Identify and track current fraud trends by reviewing transaction and patterns
    • Established policies and rules for systems
    • Test and provide feedback on process and system improvements that are based on changing fraud trends and patterns
    • Manage/Review fraud cases and propose corrective actions, process improvements, training and further remediation
    • Develop analytical models, create and provide analysis code, and work with internal or external stakeholders to validate accuracy of production scoring code.
    • Follow established best practices in statistical work while also improving and furthering best practices.
    • Assemble, merge, and parse large amounts of data to detect meaningful trends and patterns.
    • Understand analytic plans and follow these plans by identifying and executing the appropriate statistical or modelling technique.
    • Clearly document and communicate analytic work and/or results.
    • Work with the Lines of Business (LOBs) and understand landscape (applications and key risks/controls) to provide relevant data
    • Conduct analysis and create performance reports in support of existing and new product development, and/or customer sales.
    • Provide support for client inquiries regarding score calculations or other analytic output.
    • Monitor, track and investigate fraud-related issues through the use of company tools
    • Work with teams to identify fraudulent activity, threats, tactics and trends
    • Support Fraud and Compliance Management Leadership in reporting suspected fraud cases and events immediately to Company, following the escalation process defined by Company
    • Write detailed summaries to disseminate to the LOBs after an incident has been identified
    • Prepare case docket for all fraud cases and associated call recordings, online records and other supporting documentation
    • Update internal systems of record for tracking and reporting requirements
      • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
      • Perform fraud training on at least an annual basis (or more frequently as directed by Company) for company personnelQualificationsRequired:
        • Bachelor's degree in any technical stream including information technology, computer science, engineering or related programs
        • At least 5/7 years of professional experience related to fraud, investigative compliance or Cyber Security experience
        • Proven experience of work experience using Python, R or similar software package.
        • Excellent working knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies such as GLMs, Decision Trees, PCA, etc.
        • At least 4 years hands-on Java development experience. Advanced Java skills required.
        • Experience with cloud architecture, containerization and building applications using CI/CD pipelines.
        • Experience in design and development of distributed applications, microservices architecture (APIs, RESTful, and JSON).
        • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple areas and projectsPreferred:
          • Collaborative, results oriented, good communication skills, flexibility, learnability, conceptual thinking, client focus and high level of integrity
          • Experience in Financial Services industry
