Human Resources Generalist - Hybrid Remote Position

Job Description:
- Works with COO in recruitment efforts, including evaluating
sourcing strategies, placing ads, screening resumes, interviewing,
conducting background checks/references, while maintaining
communication with all managers and tracking
applicant/candidate.
- Responsible for onboarding, new hire orientation, ongoing
required trainings and verification of required clearances
- Schedules, tracks, and scans introductory reviews and annual
reviews.
- Maintain employee-related databases and is responsible for all
administrative responsibilities associated with employee files, new
hire documentation, transfers, leaves, promotions, unemployment
claims, workers' compensation, status changes, terminations,
etc.
- Serves as the contact point for any benefits or enrollment
questions. Coordinates open enrollment. Distributes team member
communication materials. Acts as a resource for team members with
claims issues and connects team members to appropriate benefits
support teams.
- Handles all employment-related inquiries; conducts
investigations, as needed, to ensure consistent application of
policies and procedures; while escalating complex, sensitive
matters to the designated member of the management team, as deemed
necessary.
- Sets performance standards, guides department leaders through
the progressive discipline process, and establishes individual and
departmental training plans as needed
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory
changes, and new technologies in human resources, while ensuring
that HR operations adhere to legal standards.
- Maintains and amends as necessary Human Resources policies,
procedures, and practices for the organization
- Supports team members with the initial logging in of Payroll
software.
- Represents the organization at external job fairs, and
networking events
- Builds solid relationships with Leaders at all levels
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local labor laws to
reduce potential for litigation
- Maintains a presence with employees and staff
- Oversees preparation and maintenance of job descriptions
- Handles and investigates any Employee Relations issues
- Undertakes special projects as required
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-4 years human resources experience
- Must have a minimum education level of: Associates Degree,
BA/BS degree (4 year) Preffered
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and all current recruitment
technology
- Excellent verbal, written, listening and public relations
skills
- Demonstrated ability to forge strong, trusting relationships
with management
- Excellent customer service skills working with diverse
backgrounds
- Must possess and exude a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to prioritize projects and tasks while remaining
productive, discreet and professional
- Self-starter with a willingness and enthusiasm for taking on
additional responsibility
- Creative and detail-oriented, organized and capable of meeting
established deadlines
- Independent thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employee laws and
regulations
- Excellent organization, time management, stress management and
problem solving skills
Benefits
Flexible Full Time Job with remote hours available. Salary or Wage
dependent upon hours in the office and experience level.
