What you will do here :
Companion Protect is looking for a driven HR Partner to execute on a range of people-related responsibilities that align with the employment cycle of our associates. You will be part of a dynamic HR team that is responsible for providing an amazing associate experience at Companion Protect. The Sr. HR Specialist's purpose is to drive critical functions of the HR department including associate onboarding, administering payroll, benefits administration, and enforcing company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for assisting in building a culture and driving growth initiatives throughout the years to come.

Primary Responsibilities
Work directly with associates and managers to provide personalized guidance, support, and solutions on a range of people related activities
Drive Associate Engagement Activities aligning with our purpose
Collaborate with HR team members to plan and execute initiatives and projects as assigned
Provide consultation to associates for HR-related requests and questions
Work closely with HR leadership to identify opportunities for improvement in policies and processes
Work to maximize positive associate relations to foster a positive associate-employer relationship
Investigate and resolve day-to-day associate relations problems, with assistance from HR leadership
Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of associate handbook, company SOPs, and organizational chart
Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, offboarding, and current employment, including entering data into HRIS and auditing for accuracy and compliance
Prepare and analyze reports, as necessary
Respond to inquiries from government agencies including processing unemployment claims, disability benefits, leave administration, etc.
Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions

3+ Years of successful HR experience required
SHRM-CP credential preferred
Experience with HRIS system(s) required, Paycom preferred
Team player - ability to jump in where needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple administrative tasks while providing excellent customer service
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
High degree of fluency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
