Role Overview The HR People Center Lead provides leadership to a team of Advisors in support of company employees and managers as part of a centralized function to handle a variety of HR related transactions. Duties include receiving and responding to requests concerning HR policies and programs via online resources or telephone. Must be able to prioritize and escalate requests as HR point of contact to appropriate management. Data entry skills are required for Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Provides direct support to company employees, other HR groups and company management as part of a centralized function to handle a variety of HR-related transactions. Receives and responds to requests concerning HR policies/programs. Appropriately routes requests from employees to others for additional information. May respond to practices inquiries via online resources and/or telephone. Processes various paper and electronic forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire onboarding, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, termination of employment, etc. Inputs employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database and/or documents activities as requested. Responsibilities * Communicate HR practices and policies to People Center Advisors consistently and accurately. * Prioritize and manage employee concerns following appropriate standard operating procedures. * Serve as HR point of contact to Centers of Excellence and Business Partners. * Conduct company policy and program training to People Center Advisors. * Provide project and audit support. * Mentor People Center Advisors with technical advice and guidance. * Assist the People Center Manager in the development and maintenance of processes and initiatives. * Apprise and escalate potential legal, risk, safety concerns to the People Center Manager. * Provide support in the absence of the People Center Manager. * Communicate HR practices/policies to employees consistently and accurately. * Handling escalated employee's calls and the appropriate next steps. * Serves as the COE's and HRBP's point of contact supporting/delivering internal processes including and not limited to Performance Management, Employee tendencies, and Exit Practices. * Conducts training on company policy, programs, and other issues as they arise. * Serves as an active member of People Center-related project teams and audits as assigned. * Serves as a mentor to others within the People Center team by providing technical advice and guidance. * Assists the People Center Manager in the development and maintenance of processes and policies as well as new initiatives. * Apprise and escalate potential legal, risk, safety, etc. concerns to the People Center Manager. Request Management: * Provide constant review of the request management system for requests assignments. * Monitor People Center Advisor schedule. * Assist People Center Advisors with any questions or confirm with the right contact. * Perform in-office administrative work. Quality Audits: * Review critical People Center work for accuracy and timeliness of completion. * Review requests transferred outside of People Center queue for coaching opportunity or content addition. * Review Payroll Spreadsheets prior to submission. Qualifications * High School degree and at least 4 years of work-related experience * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees. * Strong internal and external customer focus. * Self-motivated; ability to navigate complex environments, get answers and deliver solutions. * Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations. * Ability to use experience and judgment to make decisions with the Team. * Ability to recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems Location: Kansas City Missouri SS&C is an equal opportunity employer and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.
