Summary of Major Functions:

Oversees all kitchen functions including food production, managing food inventory, and maintaining kitchen sanitation and regulatory standards for food service for PHP, IOP, and EIOP programs.

Pay: $18-22/hour

Summarized Duties and Responsibilities:

• Orders and maintains food inventory. Prepare meals for patients and assigned staff
• Implements knowledge of food service regulations, food sanitation and environmental risks; enforces regulatory requirements.
• Develops rotational menu demonstrating diversity and meeting the nutritional needs of the patients; creating and updating recipe cards for standardized use.
• Work with nutritional staff to ensure operational abilities of therapeutic menus.
• Ensures allergens, dislikes, and religious beliefs are accounted for when preparing meals. Utilizes good housekeeping, cleanliness and quality control.
• Responsible for weekly cooking group curriculum, undertaking, and documentation in EMR.
• Precept for Culinary or dietetic interns as designated.
• Teaching patients cooking skills as assigned by RD.
• Assists in training of culinary staff.
• Other job duties as assigned.
  Qualifications:
  
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• ServSafe certified required.
• Experience working individually and in groups with patients preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in food production, including inventory control

  Physical demands of this job include but are NOT limited to:
  
  Sitting occasionally, standing frequently, walking occasionally, talking occasionally, hearing occasionally, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching rarely and using fingers intricately frequently. This position requires frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds occasionally and pushing (in a cart with wheels) up to 50 pounds, to which accommodations can be made.
  
  Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to:
  
  95% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a kitchen in a medical office environment.
