Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Student Extern
PRN to join our team, delivering high-quality respiratory care at
our advanced healthcare facilities. This position offers a unique
opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge in a real-world
medical environment, supporting respiratory therapists and
clinicians in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with
breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Assist respiratory
therapists in the setup and operation of various types of
respiratory care equipment. Participate in patient rounds with
therapists and physicians to learn and assist in patient care
planning and management. Perform basic respiratory therapy
procedures under supervision. Maintain patient safety and
confidentiality according to healthcare regulations. Document
patient interactions and treatment outcomes for review by
supervising healthcare professionals. Basic knowledge of
respiratory therapy equipment and procedures Strong communication
and interpersonal skills Ability to follow detailed instructions
and maintain accurate records Capability to operate in a fast-paced
