in a specialized oncology setting, working night shifts within a
focused patient environment. This role demands a compassionate and
skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with medical-surgical oncology
experience, dedicated to delivering high-quality care on a contract
basis in Kansas City, KS. Responsibilities: Administer nursing care
to oncology patients on a 27-bed unit, maintaining a 1:4 patient
ratio to ensure personalized attention and optimal outcomes.
Monitor patient conditions, manage treatments, and coordinate with
multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Educate
patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and
symptom management. Document all patient interactions and care
activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Support
end-of-life care and symptom control for oncology patients,
maintaining dignity and comfort. Qualifications: Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license. Experience in medical-surgical oncology nursing
is essential. Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
effectively. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
