If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources. /n/nResponsibilities:/n - Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for the low acuity patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes. - Meets the educational and informational needs of the low acuity patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. - Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to low acuity patients. - Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements. /n/nQualifications:/n - Associate's Degree ADN Required. - Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. - Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. - Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date. - One of the following required upon hire: - Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri - Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas - RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO - Employees must obtain Licensed RN - Kansas or Missouri multistate within 90 days - Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications required upon hire - Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred /n/nBenefits at Children's Mercy:/n The benefits plans at Children’s Mercy are one of many reasons we are recognized as one of the best places to work in Kansas City.
