hospital. /n/nOverview:/n Virtual nurses are registered, highly
skilled nursing professionals responsible for delivering patient
care and support for the in-person healthcare team via
telemedicine. Working from an off-unit location, using advanced,
secure, two-way, interactive, audio-visual technology, the virtual
nurse partners with in-person nurses to provide illness management,
health promotion, and education for patients and families who
require care. Virtual nurses collaborate with the in-person
healthcare team to advocate for resolution of identified patient
and family needs and to ensure patient care tasks are completed
accurately and timely. The virtual nurse utilizes the nursing
process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe,
high quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate nursing care for

discussed with Human Resources. /n/nResponsibilities:/n - Virtually
utilize the nursing process to develop and implement a safe, high
quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate plan of care for the
patient and family that promotes optimal patient outcomes. - Meet
the educational needs of the patient and family and advocates for
their needs in partnership with the in person care team. -
Collaborate to maintain an environment that is safe, comfortable,
efficient, and family-centered. - Utilizes current research and
evidence for practice to expand personal professional knowledge,
enhance role performance, and improve nursing care quality. - This
position will have a varied shift (8 hours), including weekends. No
holidays. /n/nQualifications:/n - Associate's Degree Current
employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and
permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. Direct care
nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their
degree within 5 years of their hire date. and 5-7 years experience
Pediatric Inpatient Medical-Surgical or Critical Care experience -
Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all direct care nurses hired after
September 1, 2013. Direct care nurses hired after this date without
a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire
date. and 5-7 years experience Pediatric Inpatient Medical-Surgical
or Critical Care experience - One of the following: Licensed RN -
MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse
Multistate License Kansas required upon hire - RN Compact license
for all states besides KS and MO - Refer to Nursing and Advanced
Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required
Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire - Specialty

competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.00/hr, but
your offer will be determined based on your education and
