seeking a Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) for a top
healthcare client in Kansas City, MO . This role provides
comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical,
surgical, cardiac, and neurologic conditions in a Level I Trauma
Facility. The Med/Surg unit offers an excellent opportunity for
nurses to broaden their clinical expertise in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment that emphasizes compassionate,
patient-centered care. Job Responsibilities Perform comprehensive
nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Deliver
high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with varying
medical and post-surgical conditions. Monitor and evaluate patient
progress, adjusting care plans as necessary. Supervise and delegate
tasks to non-licensed staff within scope of practice. Provide
education and emotional support to patients and families throughout
the care continuum. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to
ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes. Maintain compliance
with hospital policies, nursing standards, and safety protocols.
Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of
nursing (ADN or BSN) required Experience Minimum of 1 year of acute
care RN experience required (does not need to be recent)
Certifications/Licenses Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or
compact license required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required upon hire Skills or Competencies Strong clinical judgment
and communication skills Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio in a dynamic hospital setting
