Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work in Progressive Care Unit with 1:5 patient ratios • 2 years of experience required, previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred • 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • 12 hours of orientation required • 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract • Regular floating required between departments, units and facilities as needed • Float to all MSI units based on greatest need, including Emergency department for inpatients holding • Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact states • Epic charting system experience preferred • Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 31 • Skills required include cardiac monitoring, telemetry, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and respiratory management • Experience with post-cardiac procedures, hemodialysis management, and various medical equipment required • Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • No on-call requirements • Locals not accepted (must live more than 75 miles from facility) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 31-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate level care between medical/surgical and intensive care.
