be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse
with experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Stepdown nursing
to support a 300-bed acute care hospital in the Kansas City
metropolitan area. This contract role involves working primarily in
the PCU team, providing critical care to patients requiring close
monitoring and specialized interventions. The position demands a
hands-on RN comfortable managing complex cases, including expertise
with CRRT, BIPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and the ability to
independently draw labs and conduct codes. Location: Situated in
the thriving Kansas City, KS area, the hospital provides an

direct nursing care to PCU patients utilizing critical care skills.
Monitor and manage complex patient conditions including utilization
of CRRT and advanced respiratory support. Independently conduct
codes, respond to consults, and manage vascular access without
specialized teams. Float between ICU, Med/Surg, Med/Tele,
Acute/Tele, and ED units as needed. Participate in orientation and
training sessions, including virtual Epic EMR training.
Schedule/Hours: 36 hours per week 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required for either
Christmas Eve/Day or New Years Eve/Day Qualifications: Minimum 2
years recent experience in Critical Care or Intensive Care Unit
Current KS RN or Compact RN License BLS, ACLS, and NIH
certifications required Comfortable managing codes independently
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred Engage in a challenging role
