Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kansas City,
Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU -

Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • 1:5
patient ratio • 2 years of nursing experience required with
previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred • 8
weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of
Friday/Saturday/Sunday) • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments
as needed • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Must float
to all MSI units including ED to care for inpatient holds • Both
Kansas and Missouri licenses required (or compact) at time of
submission • 12 hours of orientation provided • 31-bed unit caring
for adults and geriatric patients • Work settings include MS/Tele,
Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown,
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown • Skills required include cardiac monitoring,
dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood
product administration, central line care, heparin protocols,
cardiac drips, PCA management, wound care, chest tube management,
tracheostomy care • Experience with post-cardiac procedures,
hemodialysis management, feeding tube care, and isolation
precautions required • Epic charting system experience preferred •
Maximum 7 days request time off allowed • 3 shifts guaranteed per
13-week contract • Local candidates within 75-mile radius not
