Job Description First Connect Health is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Kansas City, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract OR Tech 2 (Tier 2) – Research Medical Center (Kansas City, MO) Permanent | Contingent | $25–$35/hr (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 | Shift Differentials: $3 Nights / $3 Weekends Facility: Research Medical Center – 585 bed hospital, part of HCA Midwest Health Location: 2316 E Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64132 Shifts Available: - Mixed Schedule (3x12s, rotating weekends) - Nights (3x12s, rotating weekends) On-Call Requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of facility Key Responsibilities - Set up and maintain surgical suites and equipment - Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and transport - Provide surgical instruments and anticipate surgeon needs - Maintain sterile technique and support efficient room turnover - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Qualifications - Experience: 1 year as OR Tech - Certification: - Graduate of an accredited CORT program - CST certification (NBSTSA) preferred - BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required - Competency: Must be able to first scrub in 3 of 4 areas – Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine, and Vascular Comprehensive HCA Benefits Include: - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance - 401(k) with up to 9% match based on service - Employee Stock Purchase Plan - Paid Time Off, Family Leave, and Tuition Assistance - Fertility & Family Support (Progyny), Adoption Assistance - Free Telemedicine and AirMed transport - Employee Recognition and Health Assistance Fund About First Connect Health At First Connect Health, we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency, headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
