Job Description Job Description If you love the BBQ, enjoy

care for veterans as a physician in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation. This role is responsible for providing PM&R
services within Kansas City VA Medical Center facility. The
physician may be asked to provide care in multiple areas within
PM&R including but not limited to EMGs, Amputee Clinic, General
Rehab Clinic, PRP clinic, SCI clinic, and other areas as needed,
but all within the KCVA main location. Each member of the PM&R
physician team providers perform all of the wide array of services
as offered within PM&R. Services include providing direct
patient care for general rehab issues, traumatic brain injury,
outpatient stroke management, chronic pain, amputations,
electromyography, spinal cord injuries, sports injuries, spasticity
management, headache management, joint injections with
corticosteroids as well as with platelet rich plasma, as well as
several other functions within the scope of physical medicine and
rehabilitation. Other duties include, but are not limited to: -
Staff within PM&R are ultimately responsible for all aspects of
PM&R care which includes clinical services, consult reviews for
appropriateness, and chart reviews for internal as well as external
Acute Medical Rehabilitation admission appropriateness. - A
PM&R Provider is responsible for coordinating care with
providers within PM&R, dedicating care to treat pain, including
Physical, Occupational and Speech therapies, Chiropractic,
Acupuncture, and Pain Psychology, as determined by plan of care for
the veteran. Open, clear, and collaborative engagements are an
emphasized duty. - There will be opportunities to become involved
with resident education, as there is a collaboration with the
University of Kansas Medical Center, as well as medical student
education through University of Missouri-Kansas City. - There will
be no expectations concerning weekend coverage or call coverage.
BENEFITS: Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus,

for our Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) which allows for up
to $200K in loan repayment over a 5-year period.
