registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse
experienced in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide specialized
care on a 12-hour night shift schedule. This role requires a
commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care in a step-down
unit setting, supporting patients with acute but stable conditions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active RN license. -
Minimum of 1 year experience in PCU nursing. - Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. - Preferred experience with high acuity
drips, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Airvo devices. - Ability and
willingness to float to lesser acuity units as needed. -
Availability to work every other weekend and major holidays
(scheduling accommodations available). - No new graduates accepted
for this position. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive
nursing care to step-down unit patients. - Monitor and manage
intravenous drips, arterial lines, and respiratory support devices.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support
patient recovery. - Adhere to facility policies including
nicotine-free environment requirements. - Participate in
orientation sessions scheduled before start date. Schedule Details:
- 12-hour night shifts, 1845 to 0715. - Orientation Monday through
Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This opportunity is a contract position
located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, offering bi-weekly
pay and a structured orientation to support your integration.
