Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights -
Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night
shift position requiring strong ventilator skills and a MO or
compact RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the PCU
within a tertiary care, level 1 trauma, teaching hospital - Patient
population includes pulmonary stepdown, intermediate care,
ventilated trach patients, COPD, and high acuity respiratory cases
- Assignments may include ratios of 1:4, with rare flexing up to
1:6 patients - Specialized procedures include endobronchial valve
management and care of ventilators - Use of advanced respiratory
equipment including Airvo, BiPAP pulmonary valve, CPAP, high flow
nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management - Night shifts are 3x12
hours from 18:45 to 07:15 - Weekend requirement is 8 weekend shifts
per 6-week schedule, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays -
Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities as
needed - Uses Epic EMR; experience preferred - No on-call required
- Provide care for a diverse range of pulmonary, neurological, and
cardiac stepdown patients in a high-acuity environment - No travel
partners accepted for this position - Navy scrubs are required -

off may be approved per contract - Pre-employment drug screening
and compliance modules are required prior to start - Completion of
pre-start modules, with additional orientation modules included
during onboarding - Facility may offer positions without a formal
interview, but interviews can be arranged if requested - First-time
travelers are welcome to apply /n /n Requirements/n - Active MO or
compact RN license must be in hand - Minimum of 2 years recent
specialty experience in PCU or similar setting - At least 1 year of
in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no
employment gap greater than 90 days - Certifications required: BLS
and NIHSS - Strong recent ventilator experience required - Skills
required: MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia
interpretation/management, central/PICC/peripheral line care, blood
product administration, cardiac drips (no titration), heparin
protocols, PCA, pre/post hemodialysis management, feeding tube
management, and isolation precautions - Ability to float between
various departments and facilities is required - Submission of two
recent professional references, one supervisor level or above and
one charge RN, is required for consideration - Candidates must live
at least 75 miles from the facility; locals not accepted /n
