Job Description:

Sterling Medical Corporation has full-time, civilian contracted opportunities for U.S. licensed Dental Hygienists to provide clinical care to the U.S. military stationed in Stuttgart, Landstuhl, Vilseck, and Kleber; all located in Germany. These contracts are 3 year assignments. Dental Clinic hours are Mondays to Fridays, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Start date is pending all Government approvals, probably sometime in Jan/Feb 2023. Qualification requirements are: Shall have an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree depending on the program. Shall have successfully completed a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA). Shall be certified in radiography as required by 42 CFR Part 75. Shall have local anesthesia certification from an ADA CERP course. Shall have a minimum of one (1) year experience in dental hygiene within the past three (3) years. Shall have a current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association prior to start.   • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • D., and Thurs
  • Float between Northwest Correctional Complex located in Tiptonville
  • Prepare dental instruments and operatory
  • Located at the Charles Bass Correctional Complex in Nashville,TN
  • Providing chair-side support during dental procedures
  • Float between Morgan County Correctional Complex located in Wartburg, TN
  • Assist the dentist in chair-side dentistry in a correctional setting, as well, perform a range of staff support functions
  • Maintain dental charts and record dental findings
  • Developing and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
  • Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Confirm appointments for dental providers, including staff dentists, dental and dental hygiene students
  • Sterilize instruments in the dental office
  • Maintain proper maintenance of dental charts and dental forms
  • Maintain dental equipment, sharpen and maintain sterility of dental instruments
  • Assisting with all dental procedures
  • Perform routine dental laboratory procedures
  • Perform dental screenings and schedules appointments
