Overview
In conjunction with the Division Director, responsible for the
strategic business and clinical leadership for the division of
Hematology/Oncology/BMT, within the Department of Pediatrics and
their clinic operations, management of finances, personnel and
resources to ensure that goals are met in a timely and effective
manner. Responsible for the day to day administration and
operations of the division's clinical, educational and research
programs collaborating with the Sr. Department Administrator,
Directors, and Managers. Responsible for maintaining an environment
conducive to peak performance in all areas of operation.
Effectively lead through significant change management and able to
manage cultural change to a leaner operation. Strong leadership
skills to facilitate projects and ensure accountability of team
members. Ability to manage within matrix reporting relationships.
Analytical ability to assess the environment, evaluate risks and
opportunities, and make recommendations in alignment with business
and financial constraints. Flexibility and ability to align
priorities of others, balancing the completion of projects within
time-lines against other competing priorities. Excellent oral and
written skills to communicate professionally and clearly. Ability
to adapt style and content of communication to a broad spectrum of
audiences. Strong managerial accounting skills with an
understanding of accounting controls, data audit and integrity
procedures, budgeting and financial planning, clinical operations,
research and grants management, education operations, and human
resource management. Demonstrates strong organizational skills to
obtain and schedule resources, maintain supporting project
documentation and detailed project plans, and to ensure completion
of milestones on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
* Partner with Division Director to provide strategic planning and
business development recommendations for the division in alignment
with Department leadership.
* Responsible for the division's fiscal operations, including
analysis of financial information, budgeting, clinical revenue, and
expense management.
* Partner with department leadership to provide strategic planning
and business development recommendations, oversight and
optimization of clinical productivity, and workforce infrastructure
analysis.
* Direct division operations and allocate people, material, and
financial resources to ensure operational efficiency including
recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance management, and
ongoing development and engagement.
* Responsible for the administrative, financial, clinical, and
academic operations for the division of Hematology/Oncology/BMT.
Provide strategic support and leadership in planning, developing,
and implementing new programs to advance the missions of the
Division.
Qualifications
* Education Level: Master's Degree
* 5-7 years progressively responsible related management
experience. Experience in an academic medical setting is
preferred.
* 7-9 years progressively responsible related management experience
in a medical academic institution.
Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job
begins at $45.71/hr, but your offer will be determined based on
your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the
person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our
Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
