conditions to agricultural producers as well as processors and
exporters. Not a sideline player; they step in as buyer and seller
and execute transactions in full, including KYC, quality control,
logistics, and financing.

enabled tools in agriculture. To implement ambitious plans for
growth of the US business, we are building up our team and we now
invite a high-calibre and experienced CEO US Operations, who is up
to the challenge to co-found and lead the US grain trade business.
The role:
Purpose: Lead grain trade business in the US. Provide leadership to
the deal teams and support roles. Act as key member of Global
Executive Team.
Key responsibilities:
- P&L owner of US digitally enabled grain trading business -
fully responsible for end - to end spot trading of
commodities
- Build a spot-market trade book, which includes domestic
trading, as well as originating for exporters
- Build, develop, and lead teams of traders (deal makers,
originators) and business specific members in Commercial, Finance,
Legal, Logistics, HR; build the DNA and culture of the team; set
and manage operational goals and performance evaluation
- Define and implement physical presence in-country across the
leading agriculture states (balancing central vs regional)
- Implement optimal use of digitally enabled trading platform;
keeping its critical strengths and adapting to local circumstances
where needed
- Build and implement immediate term (6 months), medium-term (18
months) business plan
- Together with CFO and CGO, implement risk management policy for
the US business (counterpart, price, freight/basis, etc) as well as
optimal tax strategy
- Work closely with internal teams of Finance/Risk, Commercial,
Legal, IT/developers to drive the business and achieve targeted
plans
- Our candidate is fully active in the market; knows what is
going on; has a solid and relevant - network, large farmer and
grain buyer database, and an impeccable reputation
- 10+ years experience in grain trading; 5+ years relevant
leadership experience in one of the leading trading companies in
the US
- Thorough knowledge of the requirements to build a successful
trading business in the US
- Excellent communication skills, ability to make quick
decisions. Understand when to make a call fast and when to involve
others
- Business orientation, ability to assess opportunities,
prospects and risks, ability to act in a rapidly changing
environment
- Strong, motivating and inclusive leader, with proven ability to
build and develop high performance team
- Highest standard of integrity & honesty; responsible;
self-starter; stress resistant
- Highly entrepreneurial, yet able to navigate within an
international company environment
- Based in one of the major agricultural/trading hubs in the
US
