Job Description:

a Commodity Risk Management Analyst, your goal will be to help
dairy farmers, processors and customers understand and utilize risk
management tools to achieve financial stability, as a part of the
DFA Risk Management team. By helping manage price risk, you're
creating opportunities for dairy farmers across the U.S. to achieve
their families' goals.--You will build meaningful relationships
within our team and across DFA, gain experience and knowledge in a

continued growth.--Job Duties and Responsibilities:Gain an
expertise in milk pricing economics and commodity price hedging
practicesTake calls from and make calls to DFA farmer owners and/or
internal plant operators and commercial customers in effort to
understand their needs, educate them about our programs and keep
them informed about markets and risk management opportunities.
Maintain a comprehensive up-to-date understanding of market
conditions. Using this information, contribute to our
communications efforts including but not limited to: market
information publications and articles, website enhancements, and
creating and presenting educational presentations to educate farmer
owners and customers on the markets and our programsCollaborate
within the broader DFA family of Farm Services, as well as customer
service teams. Help plan and attend meetings, trips, and events to
work with farmers and other industry partners Work our risk
management desk, which includes:Taking forward contract and/or
Dairy Revenue Protection orders, and support other crop insurance
offerings like Livestock Risk Protection and Pasture, Rangeland and
Forage insurance. Executing orders in futures, options and
over-the-counter derivatives markets; or through RMA's crop
insurance productsPerform daily processes to maintain our accounts
and databases.Contribute to continual improvement of DFA Risk
Management programs and servicesDevelop an appreciation and show
active interest in developing an understanding of Dairy Farmers of
America, including DFA's business, programs and services and
philosophy, as well as those of the dairy industryContinue
self-education of commodity risk management markets, tools and
programs, and regulatory requirementsLead and assist team with
one-time or ongoing projectsMay be asked to obtain P&C
insurance license within 60 days of start date (specifically needed
for RMA's crop insurance products)The requirements herein are
