About This Job Team Lead/ Manager, Product Management works closely with Commercial Card Sales, Account Management, Operations, IT, and Product Management. The Team Lead / Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for new product development and enhancements to existing products while leading a team of product managers that develop and provide support for a variety of integrated payables products that support the Commercial Card line of business. This position will interact with various teams throughout the bank to ensure seamless integration of our client's experience. Work location: At Commerce Bank, we believe our team members are in tune with the needs of their respective role and professional enough to know when they should be in-person. This role is categorized as hybrid/flexible; meaning, a team member may work remotely from home except for those "moments that matter." Essential Functions

  • Manage and provide leadership for the Integrated Payables Product Team with guidance to employees on departmental projects/issues, coach and develop training plans, lead development conversation and answer day to day questions for team members
  • Provide support and market insight for the business line's products and initiatives related toCommercial Card and Integrated Payables Products
  • Drive the strategic direction of assigned products
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and manage product profitability
  • Engage with and manage third party relationships related to Commercial Card and Integrated Payables Accounts
  • Collaborate within the Product Team to cross-train on additional Product and departmentobjectives
  • Consult with Commerce customers (marketplace buyers and suppliers) to determine theneeds of the market and work toward best-in-class solutions
  • Create and execute internal and external communication plans for product launches andenhancements as needed
  • Lead, train, and assist operations teams with day-to-day management and maintenance ofongoing payments operations related to the assigned products
  • Coordinating solution development functionality and process integration with internal bankpartners, as well as selected third parties, enabling Commerce Bank to deliver the "Best inClass" products
  • Assist in prioritization of enhancements
  • Collaborate with management to identify client functionality requirements and assist withcommunicating to the Sales and Account Management teams the agreed upon solutiondirection
  • Researching and tracking trends within the Integrated Payables Account industry and how these trends could impact customers and competitive intelligence and product positioning in the market
  • Oversee department workflow and effectively communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required
    • Strong knowledge of integrated payables products, payment systems, banking, and/or financial services field
    • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with project teams to successfully deliver desired results
    • Proven analytical problem-solving
    • Self-starter with strong decision-making skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts, both verbally and in writing
    • Demonstrated capability to drive revenue growth through understanding of the client's business and needs
    • Ability to lead product demonstration and present professionally and persuasively and leverage online training presentation with or without much preparation
    • Technical acumen and ability to articulate the value of a Solution to C-Suite while having the technical ability to direct technical resources (internally, client and vendor)
    • Ability to develop and coach team members with proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
    • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
    • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Representative of related products at targeted client seminars and trade shows Education & Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
      • 3+ years of Product Management or related experience required
      • Pragmatic marketing certification preferred
      • Working knowledge of Commercial Card processing and supporting systems preferred
      • AP/AR industry experience preferred
