Who are we? Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area, in the former TWA Overhaul Base facility. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy team member to join our Technical Services team. What you should know about the day-to-day: The Program Manager is a highly visible position, responsible for providing assistance and direction to Sales, Finance, Technical, Asset Management, and Asset Trading functions, managing activities on assigned major programs and projects including projections, proposals, project team leadership, negotiations, and customer support from contract award through product delivery. This position holds substantial autonomy and latitude to identify and solve problems within the assigned program.You will need to take ownership of daily tasks: Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goalsProvide 'Whole of Program' oversight and direction to ensure alignment with business objectives and targets:Leads team to negotiate, establish, communicate, and execute cost, scope and schedule delivery for customer programsIdentify and provide support for sales and new business opportunities within the assigned program, including inventory analysis, market value, and sales strategies related to the applicable assetsDirects the overall financial planning, monitoring, reporting, scheduling, network analysis, and the preparation and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planningInterpret and manage programs to ensure compliance with Customer contractual and regulatory requirementsPrepare and present reports and presentations to internal and external customers as needed on status and outcomes including inventory, inventory value, projected sales, costs, and markets of each programConduct formal periodic reviews as required to maintain Program objectives.Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure that all managed programs remain within the cost and schedule criteria set for the Program along with the deliverables contractually committed to the customerIdentify and mitigate risks to the program and manage to cost, schedule, and performance Other duties, as assignedWe're a great match for you if: A Bachelor's degree, diploma, or FAA Airframe & Powerplant license, or equivalent field experience suited to this role5+ years of aviation-related technical Program/Project management experienceSignificant fieldwork in project management, planning, and cost managementDemonstrable knowledge of aircraft specifications including assessment and management of the sameDemonstrated success engaging people at all organizational levels to influence performance & change, with a solutions-oriented approachSubstantial experience supporting and navigating cross-functional teamsDemonstrated history with and ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with outside vendors, coworkers, customers, and other outside partiesHigh self-motivation and ability to work to deadlines while managing multiple tasks and conflicting prioritiesDemonstrated achievements in managing successful business outcomes, process development, and business changeStrong proficiency with:Organization and attention to detailProfessional communication - must have the ability to generate high-quality reports and presentationsMS Office, particularly Excel, and general office technologyLeveraging technology to enhance work processes in compliance with industry requirementsWe're an even better match for you if you also:Have worked with the Quantum ERP systemHave tertiary qualifications in a technical aviation discipline and technical skill as would be acquired through significant experience in various aspects of an airline or related organizationHave experience with introduction and disposal of aircraftHave demonstrated ability with process review, evaluation, and improvement and good knowledge of the processes required to drive achievement of business outcomes.
