Summary About the Position: Senior Program Manager for USACE Designated "Mega Project" or Department of Defense Identified mission critical projects. Responsibilities Participates in conferences/briefings with representatives of higher headquarters, USACE, Department of Defense Agencies, other Federal Agencies, senior customer officials, local/state governments, contractors, and others. Provides staff leadership in developing project schedules, budgets, manpower needs, and milestones for programming and project management purposes. Keep the Chief informed on a regular basis of program execution, progress toward goals, and problems encountered. Work under the direction of the Branch Chief, who outlines extremely broad objectives, areas of special interest and emphasis, and matters of priority concern. Provide advice concerning the planning, design, and construction of mega program. Plan and prioritize work to be accomplished by employees based on the difficulty and requirements of the assignments and the capabilities of employees. Experience in program and/or project management involving civil works/infrastructure projects. And / Or 2.) Experience in developing Civil Works Project Management Plans. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct deposit of pay is required. Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) may not be authorized. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 13 months by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years, and may be made permanent without further competition. Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 5 years , if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
