About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to manage regulatory examinations
and other supervisory activities. This position will coordinate
directly with regulators and manage the flow of information to and
from the regulators as a part of supervisory activities.
Essential Functions
Serve as a central point of contact within Risk Management for
management of regulatory examinations and supervisory
activities
Collaborate with Risk Management managers and relevant lines of
business during regulatory examination and supervisory
activities
Collect, review, and submit examination information requests
Interface directly with the supervisory teams of key regulators to
ensure appropriate information flow and to maintain regulatory
relationships
Maintain a relationship of trust and transparency with the
regulators who supervise Commerce operations
Continually enhance examination management process to ensure
informed, efficient, consistent, and effective examinations across
the organization
Prepare reports and presentations for supervisory activities and
related to exam preparation
Understand and synthesize large amounts of complex information and
effectively communicate results to a wide range of audiences
including, regulators, Risk Management team members, line of
business representatives, and executive management
Manage special projects for the Risk Management department
including, but not limited to, projects involving remediation
efforts, Risk Management department strategic initiatives, and
post-examination activities
Organize and lead Working Group and Steering Group meetings, which
will include developing and delivering presentations to senior and
executive management
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Moderate knowledge of risk management policies, procedures, and
practices
Ability to understand processes, systems, and data flows
Strong presentation and project management skills
Solid critical and analytical thinking, decision making and
innovative problem-solving skills
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to
detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written,
verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an
optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with
our culture and Core Values
Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and
Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience required
3+ years project management experience required
1+ year experience with examination management or direct
interaction with regulators -preferred
General well-rounded and progressive banking experience
preferred
