**The GDIT Global CIO (GCIO) Organization is seeking a Program
Manager (PM) to lead a team of project managers executing GDIT
enterprise projects. This includes both leading a project as well
as leading a team supporting the overall planning, implementation,
and migration of Enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems
supporting internal company IT as well as back-office functions
such as HR, Finance, Growth, etc. The candidate reports within the
Global CIO (GCIO) IT Program Management Office (PMO). The PM is
responsible for and empowered to manage, coordinate, and sequence
all tasks of project(s) to include leading and managing the
collaboration within and between the Functional departments, IT,
Supply Chain Management, and the contracted support. The PM will
provide regular status assessments to multiple levels (C-level to
Service Owner) to include, but not limited to, critical path
analysis, risks/issues, and budget reporting. Resources across the
GCIO will be made available to this PM to mitigate risk and ensure
success.**
**RESPONSIBILTIES**
**Leads a team of 3 to 5 project managers**
**Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating,
and delivering a given project initiative**
**Ensures deliverables are of the highest caliber following a
clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit**
**Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple
internal and external constituents and matrixed partners**
**Accountable for one or more projects**
**Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works
with matrixed IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of a
project**
**Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved
within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters**
**Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going
reconciliation of resources and other related project
expenditures**
**Develops and executes communication plans after coordinating with
Organization Change Management (OCM) specialists**
**Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key
stakeholders on status of assigned initiatives**
**Represents the PMO in various governance and inter-department
forums**
**Chairs weekly Core Project Team meetings and monthly progress
reviews with key constituents/stakeholders**
**Defines and tracks project milestones while developing,
maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery
plan**
**Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, resource
plan, contingency plan, and related project management
artifacts**
**Publishes periodic project status reports**
**Proposes recommendations and adjustments to PMO processes and
procedures**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Required**
**Minimum five (5) years in a Senior Project Manager role
successfully delivering various IT and business solutions in an
enterprise setting**
**Minimum five (3) years' experience leading a team of project
managers**
**Minimum five (5) years' experience performing as a Project or
Program Manager**
**Minimum three (3) years' experience performing in a company
(internal) CIO environment**
**Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification**
**Bachelor Degree in IT-related field of study**
**Preferred**
**Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key
stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and
approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace;
execute with limited information and ambiguity**
**Solid influencing skills**
**Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization
effectively**
**Sound business and technical acumen**
**Experience with stakeholder management**
**Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under
pressure**
**Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision
both written and verbally which includes summarizing details that
are easily understandable for various audiences**
**Strong presentation skills**
**Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their
objectives**
**Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering
complex projects**
**Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills**
**Exemplary core project management skills including multiple
aspects of the PMBOK**
**Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project
management and SDLC methodologies and tools**
**Familiarity with multiple project management methodologies
including Waterfall, Agile, etc.**
