Our client is a leading telecom and network provider. They are a leader in solutions for enterprises and carriers, and they have a strong professional reputation in the industry due to their commitment to the excellence of their products and continued growth. They are hiring a VP of Operations- Product Integration & Manufacturing to oversee multiple telecom manufacturing plants across the country.

In this newly created position, the VP of Operations will be primarily responsible for providing structure to manufacturing operations to support product integration and overall business goals. This individual will implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives, while providing leadership to Plant/Program Managers.

Build and implement plans for manufacturing operations - including automation, process improvements, cost savings opportunities, progressive quality, and safety initiatives.
Develop SOPs, metrics, and processes for workflow improvements, risk assessment, and business process improvements. Communicate with Plant Managers to implement processes and procedures.
Operational responsibilities include P&L, budget creation and enforcement, scheduling, delivery, and team/talent development.
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets, quality, and safety.
Analyze manufacturing operations and key metrics to ensure that the assembly line remain efficient and high quality.
Define scope and goals, set and track milestones, assign team priorities, and report regularly to executive management.
Provide strong top-down support to build a high-caliber environment, including teambuilding, individual development, and training.
Lead teams to exceed production goals while maintaining product quality productions rates, yields, and efficiencies.
Maintain up to date knowledge of manufacturing regulations and policies and communicate requirements effectively. Organize trainings to maintain compliance.
Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and with proper documentation.

Skill Set:
10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the telecom manufacturing space.
Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's a plus.
Manufacturing or production background with a strong mechanical aptitude. Electrical assembly experience beneficial.
Thorough knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and applications - Black Belt, 5S, etc. certifications preferred.
Strong experience with P&L management, operations oversight, and related responsibility.
Demonstrated success leading direct reports.
Proficient in cross-functional team coordination across multiple locations. Ability to plan resources to guide efficient process, anticipate and mitigate risks, and ensure proper communication.
Some travel to plants required.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
