What You'll Do...
As a Program Manager , you will be responsible for the strategy,
design, development, and overall execution of the Accelerate
Program for H&R Block.
The Accelerate program targets new professionals pursuing
technology careers by offering a unique growth and learning
experience. The program aims to help participants gain foundational
knowledge and grow in their roles, while helping H&R Block
focus our talent on ambitious college graduates who value learning
and problem-solving.
In this role, you will lead the strategic program management of
Accelerate along with day-to-day operational aspects of the
program. Ensure that program goals and metrics are established,
measured and mitigation plans in place to achieve or exceed
objectives as defined aligned with business objectives.
Day to day you'll ---
Develop a 12-month engagement experience, including an initial
6-week immersion plan, that will incorporate all aspects of the
program inclusive of; networking, leadership exposure, career
growth & development, and overall business knowledge
Establish objectives and metrics to define and measure program
success.
Manage the program budget and consult with sponsors, participants,
and stakeholders to gain alignment and buy-in.
Create a system for decision-making and communication ensuring
necessary parties are involved and you're providing direction and
recommendations
Proactively plan for, ideate, and deliver on what is next for the
immediate program participants, and subsequent cohorts, by
providing updates to executive sponsors and ITLT as
appropriate.
Serve as a connection point between Talent Acquisition and
Accelerate as it pertains to Recruitment and Intern Program
candidate pipelines.
Identify areas of risk to key stakeholders along with mitigation
plans of how to manage.
Plan effectively and deliver program weekly updates and broader
leadership team updates to key stakeholders.
Design and develop a feedback strategy for both participants and
leadership that combines program learnings and the vision for the
program to be successful.
What You'll Bring To The Team...
2-5 years of Program Management experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work
experience.
Good communication skills at all levels of the organization
Ability to bring together different parts of the organization and
align all agendas on a streamlined path forward
Attention to detail as it relates to updates, communication,
presentations and all aspects of the program.
Engage with program participants developing solid relationships
that open the door for constant and valuable feedback.
Professionally represent H&R Block in the community and on
campus building our brand of the program.
Partner effectively with business leaders using risk and conflict
management skills to deliver a quality program for the
organization.
It would be even better if you also had...
5-7 years of Program Management experience.
An established track record of Project creation and execution from
start to final delivery.
