Location: Work from Home, but regular travel to staff locations
SmartLife Insurance Overview: SmartLife is a startup insurance
agency that has an exciting opportunity to rapidly expand through
Walmart nationwide with the help of a well-known insurance industry
Job Description: The Chief Operating Officer directs, administers,
and coordinates the internal operational activities of the
organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives
established by the Chief Executive Officer and President & CFO. The
COO assists the CEO and CFO in the development of organization
functions, policies and goals that cover operations, personnel,
financial performance, and growth of the business. In essence, the
COO will be a hands-on individual responsible for executing the
Company's business plan and overseeing/improving day-to-day
operations with an emphasize on sales per location.
Directs internal operations to achieve budgeted results and other
financial criteria, and to preserve the capital funds invested in
Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and
long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals
Directs the development and installation of procedures and
controls, to promote communication and adequate information flow,
and thereby solidify management control and direction of the
Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with the
CEO's and CFO's broad policies and objectives and insures their
adequate execution. Appraises and evaluates the results of overall
operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results
to the CEO and CFO.
Insures that all activities and operations are performed in
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws
governing business operations.
Develops and maintains a sound plan of organization. Establishes
policies to insure adequate management development and to provide
for capable management succession for those functions/business
units falling under his/her responsibility.
Directs the development and establishment of functional corporate
positions necessary to execute the Company's business plan.
Must have significant experience in building a P&C insurance
Must be a licensed P&C insurance agent.
Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment. Startup
experience is a plus.
Have experience with insurance agency information technology
Excellent people skills.
Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous,
fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and
solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and
guiding investment in people and systems.
Salary will be dependent upon one's level of experience.
Compensation will also include significant equity in the business
contingent on meeting defined growth objectives. Only those

Salary: $70,000 - $150,000 Annual
