Job Description:

Full-time position available with KCMO's Parks and Recreation Department, Central Region Park Maintenance Division, 1520 W. 9 th St. No rmal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Oversees grounds maintenance and other needs for parkways and boulevards. Manages and oversees the mowing contracts and contract mowing. Assists and performs safety meetings and employee trainings. Performs park and mowing inspections. Assists with landscape and horticulture needs and snow removal operations. Creates electronic spreadsheets, report forms, and power point presentations. Maintains daily records and reports for monthly director/city manager report. Performs administrative duties as needed. Attends weekly/monthly meetings and trainings as assigned. Performs excellent internal and external customer service. Assists superintendent with other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree. Preference given for an accredited degree in parks and recreation, natural resources, business management, public administration, engineering, turf management, conservation, landscape architecture or a related field. ; Salary Range : $18.24-$29.44/hour.
