*This position can be 100% remote or located in our PDX HQ* Overview-- The-- VP of Revenue Operations-- will be responsible for developing the-- predictable revenue-- and revenue effic ien cy model --to drive growth in net new recurring revenue and retention, cross-sell and up-sell of existing customer s to support Ruby's market position as the leading virtual receptionist and chat services solution provider.-- The ideal candidate-- is-- a n expert and trusted advisor in revenue data process es , tools, and --reporting --requirements of the-- growth and r etention revenue-accountable functions.-- The role's key function is to work cross-functionally with the marketing, sales and customers success-- teams-- and-- other internal-- support functions to leverage data to maximize marketing opportunity for new customer acquisition and --cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within our existing customer base.-- Further, this role will own all financial modeling of-- growth and-- retention and --will include identifying areas for revenue optimization and acceleration --across--all-- of-- our-- revenue -responsible --teams .-- The VP of Revenue Operations will be a critical member of the-- Revenue Team and will own gathering business requirements from the marketing, sales, onboarding, success and support team and then recommending --the tools, systems, processes and critical success KPIs to support-- scaling the business. This leader will closely align with the finance team to build and manage full-funnel modeling and-- report on all KPIs for the revenue-responsible teams. This position will be measured by creating benchmarks for current and future state and the team's ability to achieve/exceed-- defined targets through system optimization. Th e revenue operations leader will have a passion for leading with a curiosity to wards using data to make informed recommendations to the business and achieving a single source of truth state --and aligned data dictionary to empower functional leaders to own their business and their outcomes .-- This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer . What You'll Be Accountable For--

  • Establish objectives and work plans for the-- revenue o perations-- team ( data management and forecasting, operations and systems, and the tech stack).
  • Own-- strategy development for the-- r evenue-- o perations function: plan, allocate resources, identify and resource large initiatives, and determine operational roadmap.
  • Act as the revenue o perations business partner to-- Ruby's --Executive team and shared (with subordinates) business partner responsibility for broader-- senior leadership --team .
  • Infuse a data-drive culture across the organization, with alignment and ownership of reporting against functional area KPIs across the revenue funnel and ongoing identification of risks and opportunities.--
  • Direct oversight of-- reports and dashboards to measure the effectiveness of the full-funnel performance-- from lead creation through ongoing customer retention and growth.
  • Maintain d ata integrity and consistency of reporting across all business units to ensure the team-- is able to --make key business decisions with confidence .
  • Lead and manage forecasting for current and future fiscal year --for both the growth and retention teams.
  • Extract r evenue insights from those metrics as well as conversations with sales, customer success, marketing, and-- the-- operations --team --to drive strategy recommendations --(inclusive of people, processes and tools).
  • Manage systems reliability, process definition and documentation and tool optimization across all teams.
  • Ongoing evaluation of current processes (overhauling these where necessary to improve productivity by leveraging industry best practices and designing process), tools, and reporting improvements, enabling the team to work smarter --and predictably.--
  • Oversee and optimize technology stack (excluding Product/Engineering organization), making recommendations on new tools, and facilitating discussions --and negotiating --with vendors.--
  • Partner with the marketing leadership team to reconcile and manage to --the marketing team budget, ensuring-- mCAC --and LTV to CAC levels meet defined KPIs and make spend optimization recommendations as appropriate to the marketing and partner teams.
  • Own sales headcount-- plan , quota targets and comp plan design in partnership with the VP of Sales.
  • Own --customer success and support headcount plan, retention targets, and comp plan design in partnership with the VP of Customer Success. Your Work DNA--

      • 10 + years of relevant B2B technology-- sales and/or marketing operations-- experience; SaaS to SMB experience-- preferred.
      • Experience successfully managing --growth and retention metrics and benchmarking in a transactional-- sales model .
      • Proven execution against performance targets in addition to tracking and delivering on key operational metrics (e.g., acquisition, engagement, conversion, return on investment) and effectively managed multi- million dollar --budgets.---
      • Experience building a n operational --culture that focuses on data and analytics to drive decision making.
      • Track record of developing highly skilled, high-powered, nimble and cohesive teams .
      • Senior-level experience in the instrumentation and integration of technology tools to market, measure, and drive results.
      • Experience with leveraging CRM systems and-- tools to-- leverage automation to scale, including-- SalesForce ,-- Hubspot ,-- LeanData ,-- RingDNA --to name a few.
      • Must have a strong analytical and quantitative skill set combined with a strength to analyze data, interpret and translate results to produce actionable changes.
      • Highly efficient team player, with the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
      • Bachelor's degree in business, or related field or equivalent work experience. While we're all remote currently, work typically takes place in an open office setting. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer.
